Founded by Lisa McDonald, a former headteacher with over 20 years experience in teaching and school leadership, The Learning Mentor brings unparalleled expertise to the field of primary and prep school education. Lisa’s extensive background has given her a deep understanding of how young children learn and thrive. Her innovative teaching methods and personalised approach ensure that every child receives the support they need to excel.
We specialise in small group tuition for primary-aged children, creating an environment where learners are challenged and supported . Our carefully crafted programs are designed to meet the unique needs of each child, providing them with the tools and strategies to overcome challenges, master key skills, and build a strong foundation for lifelong success. We are not a franchise and classes are primarily taught by Lisa with support from qualified teachers. Lisa is passionate about maintaining an individualised approach in group lessons by adapting planning to suit the needs of each pupil in the class. Lessons are not ‘one size fits all’!
We also offer 1:1 tuition online. Lessons are designed to be delivered remotely using a variety of interactive platforms, resources and online text books. Additionally, the use of a virtual whiteboard enables the teacher to visually demonstrate and explain concepts in real-time, just as they would on a whiteboard in a physical classroom.
